When customers are considering a move to the cloud, they obviously start with the infrastructure they have in place\u2014and this can include many different technologies, including open source software (OSS), which have been acquired over the years, as well as different standards, frameworks, and programming languages. As a result, customers have many questions: How do we standardize? How do we make sure that we are betting on the right technology? Do we have the right skills in place?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we help our customers on their journey to the cloud, we need strong partners who can bridge the gaps, integrate technologies across platforms, and ensure IT staff is well-trained for success. Sela Group<\/a> is one of those partners \u2013 a Microsoft Certified Partner since 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cloud-based software development on the Microsoft Azure platform is a Sela specialty, along with advanced technical training for customers and partners. The company has a very deep bench of experts with a proven track record for delivering high quality projects quickly and effectively managing challenging technical scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sela Group<\/a> and Microsoft developed the Azure OSS Accelerator, first in Israel, and then duplicated the program in more than 15 countries across four continents. The Accelerator, a hands-on, practical workshop for OSS customers, introduces Azure to OSS-oriented customers and demonstrates Azure\u2019s broad and deep support for open source software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Ishai Ram, Global Vice President of Sela Group, “the Accelerator not only illustrates Azure\u2019s relevancy for open source communities, but also enables the participants to start practical architectures and development of their specific business solutions based on the Microsoft Azure platform.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week at Microsoft\u2019s Worldwide Partner Conference<\/a>, we\u2019re fortunate to share our \u201cMicrosoft + Open Source\u201d booth with Sela, who will be demonstrating the value of using Sela\u2019s services with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sela also has a proud history of investing in community and charity-based work, using technology to build better communities by serving people at most risk and need. Last year, Sela Canada<\/a> took home the Microsoft Humanitarian Response Citizenship Award for their work with the My Baby and Me Passport<\/a>, a tool to improve maternal and child health outcomes for young, pregnant homeless and marginally housed women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
