Are you investing time and effort so that you and your teams can ship code better, faster, with more confidence? Do you work with Java, Python, JavaScript, Go, Rust, or other exciting languages in the cloud? Are you active in computer science research and love when theory meets practice?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We would love to hear your <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/applied-cloud-stories\"><strong>story<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applied Cloud Stories is an open call for technical content about relevant cloud scenarios and workloads, interesting challenges, and practical solutions that can run on Azure. You can participate by writing a new article or recording a new video about the topic of your choice in one of the categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open Source<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DevOps + Infrastructure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Big Data + Distributed Systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Machine Learning + Data Science<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Share your stories before <strong>May 31, 2020<\/strong>! Learn more about the timelines, rules of participation, and details about each category on the <a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/applied-cloud-stories\">Applied Cloud Stories site<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"why-should-i-participate\">Why should I participate?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your stories will help inspire and educate engineers across the globe about how to approach advanced, innovative, and mission-critical cloud scenarios that are solving specific problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All of the stories will be reviewed by the amazing committee consisting of Azure engineering leaders, cloud advocates, and industry leaders, like <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/editingemily\">Emily Freeman<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jpetazzo\">J\u00e9r\u00f4me Petazzoni<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ashleymcnamara\">Ashley McNamara<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sarahnovotny\">Sarah Novotny<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/aronchick\">David Aronchick<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nnja\">Nina Zakharenko<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/lenadroid\">myself<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/applied-cloud-stories#reviewers\">more<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applied Cloud Stories <a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/applied-cloud-stories#reviewers\">reviewers<\/a> will vote to determine the winning and featured stories. We will help share featured stories with the world! Winning stories also receive <a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/applied-cloud-stories\">prizes and rewards<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"wait-i-have-to-write-about-azure\">Wait, I have to write about Azure?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Not really! The minimal requirement is to use any part of the Azure platform or infrastructure to run scenario workloads on. We are not looking for tutorials that explain how to apply Azure services to solve the task. We are more interested to hear about people\u2019s scenarios and technology choices first.
