Today on Azure, Linux is widely adopted with over 60% of customer cores in Azure running Linux-based workloads. Customers can use their preferred Linux distribution on Azure, and we collaborate with Linux publishers to ensure delivery of high-quality images and timely support for new releases in Azure. The endorsed Linux distributions on Azure, which include Canonical Ubuntu, Debian, Flatcar, Oracle Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and SUSE Enterprise Linux, meet specific requirements for quality, update cadence, and support.
