Today Microsoft announced plans to bring SQL Server to Linux, enabling SQL Server to deliver a consistent data platform across Windows Server and Linux, as well as on-premises and cloud. Red Hat Enterprise Linux now available in the Azure Marketplace 

Starting today, customers can deploy on-demand Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) instances from the Azure Marketplace, where now more than 60% of the images are Linux-based.
